Although it’s possible to get a job as a forestry and conservation technician without a postsecondary degree, the competition is tough because many people want jobs that give them the chance to work outdoors.
  How I could have prepared better
Taking more math classes in high school would help me now when I calculate land size and estimate the number of trees to be harvested. I should also have paid more attention in my science classes so I would know more about nature.
