2. Get training

Skilled communication may not be a natural ability for you, but it can be learned through practice. The most prestigious colleges across the country are now requiring their MBA students to take a business communication course.

To get training, you can take advantage of one or more of the following resources:

  • Take a communication course at school.
  • Watch radio and TV announcers.
  • Model yourself after a favorite teacher or acquaintance who communicates well.
  • Search the Internet for interesting articles about better communication.
  • Revise, rewrite and edit your class assignments until they are clear and easy to read.
