
6. Watch yourself on video
Watching yourself on video for the first time can be embarrassing. However, once you get used to it, you will learn from your mistakes.
Think of a video recording as a audio/video mirror. You can change what you see and hear.
Some things you might notice and learn:
- Your posture — Do you stand erect?
- Eye contact — Do you look directly at the listener?
- Poise — Do you appear confident?
- Pause — Do you pause between ideas so others can absorb what you say?
